Liverpool star desperate to leave the club in January amid interest from Barcelona

Liverpool attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho has made a worrying demand in order to force his move to Barcelona in January.

The Brazilian playmaker was expected to sign for the Spanish giant’s last summer. However, he has opted to remain at Anfield and since then has shown some incredible performances for the club.

But the Merseyside Reds hopes of keeping their star player at Anfield appear to fade once again.

According to the Daily Mirror, Coutinho wants assurances that he will be allowed to sign for Barcelona in the summer.

There has been the talk of the La Liga leaders returning with a bid for the midfielder in the summer.

But the Mirror claim Coutinho still has his heart set on a move to Spain.

However, the 25-year-old ready to remain at the club until the end of the current campaign.

The Merseyside Reds may be on the hunt for two new midfielders before the start of the next campaign.

German international midfielder Emre Can has also been linked with a switch to Serie A champions Juventus and the Merseyside Reds.

The German’s midfielder current deal runs out at the end of the current campaign and he is yet to sign a new contract.

Luckily for the Merseyside Reds, Naby Keita will be the Reds player for the start of next campaign.

Bundesliga full-back emerged as a shock transfer target for Manchester United

Bundesliga outfits Augsburg left-back Philipp Max has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for Manchester United and Liverpool, according to the reports from Germany.

The 24-year-old  defender has won a silver medal as part of Germany’s 2016 Olympic team and has caught the eye from the scouts of top European clubs.

Ausburg currently sit eighth in the Bundesliga table – level on points with Dortmund – and Max, who currently tops the Bundesliga with seven assists despite playing at the defensive end, he has played a big role in their superb campaign.

According to the Daily Mail, Max has been tracked by Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur as they bid to strengthen their squads during the January transfer window, while Everton are also keeping tabs on talented German full-back.

Max, who remains uncapped for the German national team, extended the contract with Augsburg until 2022 earlier this campaign.
