The Sun is reporting that Manchester United have joined bitter rivals Liverpool and Barcelona in the race to sign Sevilla centre-half Clement Lenglet. The Frenchman only joined the Spanish side back in January 2017, and his solid performances have attracted attention from all corners of the continent.
The Sun suggests that while Liverpool and Barcelona led the race to sign the defender, their task of obtaining his signature has just got a little bit more complicated, with the Red Devils joining the party.
The 22-year-old is a strong centre-back and possesses an incredible ability to read the game and he is also quick along the ground. The Britsh publication claims that Lenglet will be available for around £20 million this summer, and that would represent fantastic price in today’s day and age.
The Frenchman is a classy operator, and would surely help improve whichever club wins the race for his signature. The opening of the summer transfer window is just two months away, so this will be one for Liverpool and United fans to keep an extremely close eye on.
