Former Chelsea star ,Mateja Kezman who is currently working as an agent for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has claimed that Manchester club are interested in signing of his client.
According to reports in Italy, Liverpool have made a £24m bid for the 22-year-old midfielder, but Lazio refused to sell one of their best players last season.
Milinkovic-Savic, who is also believed to be a top transfer target for AC Milan and Juventus.
Despite rumours in the summer linked Serbian midfielder with a switch to Liverpool, Savic eventually stayed at Lazio as the transfer window closed, however, his agent confirmed that hosts of top European clubs expressed interest including Manchester club.
He told Radio CRC: “If Milinkovic-Savic keeps this up, there will be plenty of contact from different clubs like there was over the summer.
“Right now, Milinkovic-Savic is happy to continue his adventure in Rome with Lazio.
“There’s been a lot of pressing from several clubs, such as those in Madrid, Manchester and Milan, but the lad wants to be happy, play to keep growing and become one of the best in his role.
“It’s difficult to see him away from Lazio, where he has started the season very well, but I can’t rule out him leaving.”
It is not known whether it is Man City or Man Utd. However, Liverpool will face a tough battle to secure the services of Serbian playmaker.
