Former Arsenal forward THIERRY HENRY has admitted he would love to have played alongside with Liverpool no.9 Roberto Firmino.
The Merseyside Reds forward has been in stunning form this campaign, scoring 20 goals and providing 11 assists in the process.
Firmino continued that fine form yesterday win over Southampton scoring a goal and setting up another one for Mohammed Salah.
And asked on Monday Night Football who stood out in the match, the Gunners hero Henry explained: “Firmino, not for the first time.
“The way he plays, the way he works.
“The assist that he had, just everything that he does. That’s why he always plays.
“This is for me the one. I’ve been in that situation sometimes where you flick the ball and it’s a flick like ‘I hope he gets it, I hope it looks good, oh what a flick’.
“No. Everything that he did had a meaning
“I would have liked to have played with this guy.”
Liverpool returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Portugal for the Champions League 1/16 tie to face Porto.
Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has provided a positive news for the Reds as Nathaniel Clyne will travel with the club for the Champions League game.
