France international centre-back Raphael Varane will not be leaving Champions League winner Real Madrid during the transfer, despite Manchester United links.
Frenchman has been heavily linked with an exit from Santiago Bernabeu in the recent months and Man United manager Jose Mourinho was considered as a frontrunner to lure defender at Old Trafford.
According to the AS reports this week that Jose Mourinho is eyeing a reunion with Varane at Manchester United, but the deal seems that it never happen after defender ruled out an exit from Los Blancos.
Man United still want to sign another defender despite luring Eric Bailly from Villarreal for £30m.
The Portuguese manager has worked with French defender at Real during his three years at the Los Blancos and is still a huge fan of the 23-year-old.
The Red Devils look set to miss out on him as Defender confirmed to stay.
After La Liga giants 5-3 win over Ligue 1 outfits Reims last night, Varane said: “I trust the club and I trust the coach.
“I talked with him a lot and he trusts me so it’s one of the reasons I stayed. I made the decision to stay, the right decision.
“I’ll continue to improve and I want this to be a good season for me and to be at my best.”
