Earlier today Arsenal have announced the signing a talented full-back Cohen Bramall from non-league Hednesford Town on a £40,000 deal, according to the Arsenal official website.
And Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger praised youngster who has no experience and compared his situation to the past of Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny.
Giroud played in the third-tier of the French league before making the step-up with Montpellier, while Koscielny was plucked from Lorient in an £8m deal and Wenger believed that Bramall will be capable to handle the pressure in the English top-tier and become a crucial for the Gunners in nearby future.
‘I believe that when you go down [the leagues], there’s mental selection. It’s a mental test – do you love football enough?’ said Wenger.
‘Are you ready enough to fight [to show] that you are above this level and that you absolutely want to come back? Players like Giroud and Koscielny have had that test. They are similar to that. Once they get up, they really mean it.
‘[Bramall] is a young, promising left back who has a lack of experience at the top level but who has fantastic ingredients.
‘He has tremendous pace, a good left foot, a great desire to do well. Overall, he’s a very exciting prospect.’
