La Liga giants Barcelona are reportedly plotting January move for in-form Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso.
Spain international left-back has moved to Stamford Bridge back in 2016 on the deadline dau of the transfer window, despite being considered as a panic buy, however, the Spaniard has since become Conte’s key weapon helping them to finish last season on top of the Premier League season.
During the Blues title-winning campaign, the 26-year-old defender has made 31 Premier League game, founding the net for six times and producing three more assists in the process and this term he has played every minute in all competitions.
According to Don Balon, Barcelona head-coach Ernesto Valverde has turned attention to Alonso in order to replace Jordi Alba.
The 26-year-old defender came through Real Madrid’s youth academy and signed for Bolton Wanderers back in 2008.
Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte seems to be disappointed with Alvaro Morata’s back-up options Michy Batshuayi and considering a move for his potential replacements.
The Belgium international forward has struggled to find his feet with the West London side, having started only three games in the English top-tier since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Marseille.
