Championship outfits Aston Villa have agreed deal for Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone who has joined the team for the rest of the season.
Man United keeper has become the Steve Bruce’s first signing for Villa, with beign desperate to sign a quality stopper to replace Mark Bunn.
Johnstone told the club’s official site: “I’m really pleased to have joined Aston Villa – it’s a massive club.
“I’m really excited to be here. Aston Villa were interested and it’s an opportunity I jumped at. It’s one you simply can’t turn down.
“I can’t wait to work with Steve Bruce too. I’ve heard very good things about the manager. You can see his track record.
“He’s good for the club and I can’t wait to get going now.”
Sam Johnstone has a really good chance to show what he can offer to Man United in future after Mark Bunn who has been in the Villians net since the last month, has kept just one clean sheet in seven games and Johnstone look’s like to become a no.1 stopper.

The Red Devils managerJose Mourinho stated earlier that Johnstone will be the only player who will be allowed to leave team on loan.
