Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah is among three young players to have signed a new long-term deal with the Gunners.
Nketiah shot to prominence back in November EFL Cup win over Norwich, founding the net with his first touch to send him in the fifth Round tie into extra time before sending the Gunners through to a quarter-final against the Hammers.
The 18-year-old, who was previously in the Chelsea ranks, has made three other first-team appearances and has received huge praise from the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
‘He was decisive and overall he has the flair to anticipate when you are in the box,” Wenger said after the win against Norwich.
‘That’s a quality you cannot give at that age anymore. You either have it, or you don’t, so that’s very positive for him.
‘I like the header as well that he scored because he’s not tall. He was very high, and it shows that determination when the heading is there for the guy that wants it.
’Nketiah has been joined by goalkeeper Matt Macey and Ben Sheaf in penning new contracts.
Macey had made two appearances this campaign and became the first English keeper to play for the Gunners since David Seaman when he made his debut in the EFL Cup clash against Norwich, while Sheaf got his first taste of football in 1-0 win over Red Star Belgrade in October.
