Turkish giants, Galatasaray want to sign Liverpool midfield star Lucas Leiva on a free transfer despite his current deal expires in next season.
After the arrival of new faces at Anfield, it is reported that Brazilian star is keen on to leave the club and on the other side Reds are trying to get rid of their books to free up wages.
Turkish giants were linked with a €3 million bid, but it has been reported that they are pushing loan move.
Gala are currently under investigation and have already been banned from European football.
The Istanbul giants have to be careful with their spending over the summer and would rather pay Liverpool a transfer fee at the end of the season.
Sources close to Turkish club stated that it would be willing to pay his wages for the season. Alternatively, they would be prepared to offer a contract worth €2.4 million per-season.
Lucas is currently the longest-serving midfielder in Liverpool squad having joined them nine years ago.
The 29-year-old would become the second player who will leave Reds for Tukey after Martin Skrtel.
