Arsenal are reportedly prepared to tie highly-rated youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles with a new bumper deal after his breakthrough season under Arsene Wenger.
The 20-year-old versatile midfielder who has played on the left wing-back position has been part of the Gunners starting xi since the age of six and has 18 months left on his current deal at Emirates Stadium and he currently earns £1,000 per week.
The midfielder has made nine appearances for the Gunners in the Premier League so far this campaign and was drafted in as cover at left-back over Christmas when Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac were out with injuries.
According to ESPN, Wenger is keen to reward the 20-year-old midfielder for his performances this campaign and will offer him improved terms and an extended stay.
Maitland-Niles made his professional debut for Arsene Wenger’s side back in December 2014, becoming the second-youngest player to represent them in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, another midfielder Jack Wilshere has been rumoured with signing a new deal with the Gunners as 26-year-old midfielder has six months left on his current contract.
