According to Sport Bild, Borussia Dortmund keen on to tie Michy Batshuayi with a permanent deal after his impressive loan spell from Chelsea.
Batshuayi has joined the Bundesliga clubs from the Blues in January and has contributed ten goals in 14 games for BVB.
His fine form at Signal Iduna Park has excited chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke who admitted he wants to sign Batshuayi on a permanent basis.
“The interest to sign him does exist. Chelsea already have two centre-forwards in [Alvaro] Morata and [Olivier] Giroud. First, we have to wait for who will be coaching Chelsea next season. Then we’ll see what is possible,” he said, reports Goal.
Signed from Olympique Marseille in 2016, Belgian international forward has struggled for form and playing time in his 18 months at Stamford Bridge founding the net for five times in 20 league appearances in his debut season and two league goals this term.
However, his January switch to Germany has seen him rise like a phoenix in the ashes and has found his best form at BVB
Batshuayi was out of favour at Stamford Bridge, with Spanish forward Alvaro Morata commanding a starting place over him in 2017/18, while being benched even when the Blues didn’t have a recognised striker on the pitch, however, his Dortmund form could see the £90k-per-week star making return to London for the next campaign.
