Chelsea may re-join the pursuit to sign Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan, as per the report of Calciomercato.com.
Rumours in the Gazzetta Dello Sport propose that Chinese Super League team Guangzhou Evergrande may look to bid €40m for the 29-year-old, but the Italian club would take out for £44m.
However, Calciomercato believe the Blues may also reflect an approach for a footballer who has been a long-term transfer target. Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte established back in October that the team tried to purchase Nainggolan, but the player signed a new four-year deal to continue in Rome back in July, ending thought about his future.
The Belgian footballer has been a consistent starter under coach Eusebio Di Francesco this term. Having played 21 times in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have to beat Manchester United in race for Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal, as the Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho has identified the Chile international as his next major transfer target at Old Trafford.
January was a relatively subdued month for Man United, as they signed Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez as their only piece of business of the winter window.
But, with the Red Devils failing to keep up with rampant league leaders Manchester City, Jose Mourinho is understood to be ready to oversee a spending spree this summer.
