Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have reportedly entered the race for Napoli left-back Faouzi Ghoulam
The Algeria international, who has also been linked with Bayern Munich and PSG, joined Napoli from Saint-Etienne in the summer of 2014 and has made more than 100 appearances for the Italian outfit in all competitions.
The €14m-rated defender (via CIES Football Observatory)will be out of contract at the end of the 2017-18 campaign. It is understood that talks over an extension have stalled, as Ghoulam has split from agent Alessandro Moggi.
Maurizio Sarri’s man are anxious to secure their star man to a new agreement, but everything is currently in limbo.
According to Calciomercato, developments in Naples have attracted the attention of Premier League trio, who believe that they could sign the quality player for a cut-price fee this summer.
Ghoulam, who was named in UEFA Europa League’s Squad of the season (2014-15), has made 29 appearances across all competitions this term, providing seven assists in the process.
The calibre of club said to be looking at Algerian is a testament to the progress he has made as a player, and, at 26, he may feel the time is right to make the step from a big club in Partenopei to a juggernaut of the game in Chelsea, Arsenal or Spurs.
