Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich has decided to agree on a crazy swap deal involving Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio and the Blues N’Golo Kante, according to stunning reports.
The Blues are set for a massive overhaul this summer of their squad after a dismal defence of the Premier League title this season.
Antonio Conte appears to be leaving Stamford Bridge stadium and nine players also expected to leave the club as well.
Eden Hazard’s and Thibaut Courtois futures remain up in the air and Real have been long-standing admirers of the Belgian duo.
But according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, a Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich has decided he is prepared to sacrifice N’Golo Kante in order to secure services of Marco Asensio.
The report suggested that Chelsea owner is prepared to offer a large sum to get 22-year-old forward at Stamford Bridge.
Don Balon also reported that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is worried about losing Asensio even though he has struggled for a regular first-team football under Zidane.
Other reports have rumoured Asensio to Man Utd and Liverpool.
Meanwhile, last week Tony Cascarino suggested that France midfielder miss his midfield partner Nemanja Matic.
He said: “N’Golo Kanté has really missed having Nemanja Matic alongside him in the centre of Chelsea’s midfield this season,” Cascarino told The Times.
“Tiemoue Bakayoko was brought in last summer but has failed to make anything like the impact of the Serb, who joined Manchester United.
“Danny Drinkwater, another new midfield signing, has been given very little time on the pitch, and I don’t think Cesc Fabregas, for all his qualities, is an ideal partner for Kante.”
