Belgium international and Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Toby Alderweireld has revealed that he has yet to receive a new offer from the Spurs, however, insists he is still happy to remain at Wembley.
The 28-year-old centre-back has been heavily linked with a switch to Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea.
The Belgian defenders current deal, which is reportedly worth around £50,000-a-week, set to expire in the next two years, however, Tottenham have the option to extend his stay at Anfield.
When asked if he had been offered a new contract from Mauricio Pochettiono’s side he told to Sky Sports News: ‘No, like I said, I am focused on football.
‘The rest, I don’t know, we will see about that.
‘I had a good conversation with the manager [Mauricio Pochettino].
‘I told him I’m focused on football, to keep my game up and help the team.
‘That’s all I can do. You can see I’m happy there, and I try to help the team, and that’s the way I always play football.
Meanwhile, Antonio Conte continues to chase for Napoli full-back Fouzi Ghoulam who is expected to leave the club at the end of the current campaign.
Algeria international defender is refusing to sign a contract extension with Napoli, and both Chelsea and Liverpool are keen on to secure his services.
