Borussia Dortmund have reportedly joined the race to sign Alvaro Morata from Chelsea.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that after having failed to make Michy Batshuayi loan move permanent, the German giants have identified Spanish forward as an alternative for Belgium international attacker who has enjoyed a stunning season at Signal Iduna Park.
The same report suggests that the Blues are indeed open to cashing in on Morata in the upcoming summer transfer window, just a year after he joined them from Real Madrid.
Spain international forward has endured something of a mixed season at Stamford Bridge. He started the season strongly, however, his form tailed off during the middle part of the campaign as back injury hampered him.
The 25-year-old forward has found the back of the next 15 times and made six assists in all competitions for the Blues. However, it remains to be seen whether he will remain at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer.
According to the same story, selling Spanish forward would provide the funds Chelsea chiefs require to revamp their squad ahead of the next season.
