The Italian agent of Maurizio Sarri has reportedly arrived in London to finalise talks with Chelsea, according to the reports.
The Italian manager has been strongly linked with the manager’s job at Chelsea, despite the fact that Antonio Conte stays at Stamford Bridge.
After failing to defend the Premier League title last season, Antonio Conte came under pressure at Stamford Bridge, and the latest reports indicate that the Blues are prepared to pay €5m (£4.4m) to finale get the deal done for Italian manager.
The 59-year-old left the Serie A giants at the end of the last campaign. However, he is still contracted, therefore making the move to Chelsea slightly trickier.
According to Sky Sports News, the appointment seems to be edging closer as Sarri’s agent has arrived in London to finalise a deal.
If Sarri becomes the Blues next manager hosts of players from Serie A have been rumoured with a switch to Stamford Bridge including Napoli’s trio Dries Mertens, Kalidou Koulibaly and Jorginho.
Chelsea are in need of reinforcements at the defensive and midfield area ahead of the next season.

The 31-year-old has been one of the key players for Sarri’s team that finished second in the Serie A table behind Juventus.
Mertens had a £24.5million release clause in his current deal with the Neapel and would be a bargain signing for Chelsea who are desperate to strengthen their offensive end.
Sarri has long been expected to replace Antonio Conte who led Chelsea to an FA Cup triumph back in May and Mertens could become his first signing at Chelsea.
Mertens has been also on the radar of Manchester United and Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
