Chelsea are looking to compete with their bitter Premier League rivals Arsenal for the signature of Udinese versatile midfielder Jakub Jankto.
The 21-year-old has been in impressive for Italian club this campaign, achieving a tally of five goals from 15 games in all competitions attracting strong interest from hosts of European clubs.
Last month it was reported that Arsenal head-coach Arsene Wenger is a huge admirer of Jankto, with French manager is in the market for Mesut Ozil’s replacement.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Antonio Conte’s side have now joined the race for 21-year-old Czech midfielder.
Serie A duo AC Milan and Juventus are also thought to be keeping tabs on the situation of Janko, whose contract with Udinese set to expire in 2021.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea are keen on to strengthen their midfield options in January to compete for all possible trophies.
Chelse are currently third in the Premier League table with 11 points separating them from league leaders Manchester City, While Arsenal are fifth in the English top-tier after 3-1 loss to Manchester United.
