Chelsea are keen on to sign AS Roma’s playmaker Lorenzo Pellegrini, according to Leggo reports.
The reports from Italy suggest that the Premer League champions are one of three English club’s keeping a close eye on the 21-year-old with both Manchester City and Manchester United are also scouting the Italian midfielder.
The same sources suggest that the player has a €30million release clause in his current deal with Serie A giants, however, this will depend on a number of games he plays in Italy, the goals he scores and even the numbers of the trophies.
The Leggo have also reported some of the details of the clause. The €30 million buyout fee is based on the player playing over 45 minutes in a minimum of 20 games. If Pellegrini does not meet the minimum required number of games, €1.5m will be taken off the €30 million for every match below that amount. In contrast, every game above 20 will add €1 million.
Currently, the 21-year-old playmaker is sidelined with a calf injury and won’t be able to help Roma in the recent games.
