Chelsea have identified Uruguay international forward Edinson Cavani as a replacement for Alvaro Morata, according to the reports.
It emerged on Monday that Spaniard’s entourage have struck an agreement with Italian giants, and the 25-year-old forward is so desperate to go back to Turin he is ready to agree on a huge pay cut.
However, Italian champions still need to agree on a fee with the Blues– and are not prepared to spend more than £60m in order to lure him
Chelsea are wasting little time in finding a replacement for Spanish forward, though, and Tuttosport reported that they are already preparing a move for PSG forward Edinson Cavani.
The Uruguayan has found the back of the net 39-times this season in 47 appearances, leading both the PSG and Ligue 1 scoring charts, though the PSG are not willing to sell him.
Former Napoli forward has had several fallings out with world-record signing Neymar and PSG could agree to cash in on a player as they have already identified Robert Lewandowski as his long-term replacement.
Despite his age, the Blues see Cavani as the ideal addition to Antonio Conte’s starting XI.
The Blues are not the only side interested in signing him, but, with both Atletico Madrid and, ironically, Juventus, monitoring his situation.
