Man Utd and Chelsea may have been given renewed hope of completing the transfer of Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches as talks over AC Milan switch stalled.
Both Premier League clubs have widely expected to approach Portuguese star who is destined to leave Allianz Arena to secure regular first-team football.
Sanches struggled to settle at Bayern Munich since his £31million move from Benfica making only 17 appearances for Bundesliga champions.
Still, Sanches has remained as one of the brightest talents in Europe, and the latest quotes from Carlo Ancelotti could see him staying at Allianz Arena to fight for starting role.
‘There is nothing new with Renato Sanches,’ the Bayern boss said recently. He has started the season with us, and he’ll stay with us until the end of the transfer market, on August 31st. He played well in our last match.’
Still, Calciomercato claims that the reason for his stay at Bayern Munich could be as AC Milan doesn’t want to take him on loan, however,r they are open for a permanent transfer.
Bayern supposedly only wants to sell the 19-year-old on loan or include a buy=bacl clause for Renato Sanchez.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea or United could step up their interest following this development, and Euro 2016 winner midfielder could continue his career in Premier League.
