Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain right-back Thomas Meunier believes Chelsea‘s stopper Thibaut Courtois would be a perfect signing for Unai Emery’s side.
The 26-year-old defender plays alongside Courtois for Belgium national team, and in a 9-0 win over Gibraltar, Meunier has scored a hat-trick, and in the 2-1 win over Greece that helped them to secure a place in the World-Cup 2018 in Russia.
Belgian stopper has been Chelsea’s number one stopper, having replaced Petr Cech in 2014. However, his compatriot believes that he would be a perfect addition to PSG.
“He’s very strong, Courtois. He wouldn’t be bad at PSG,” the Belgium international told Le Parisien.
“We’ve already got two good goalkeepers, but Thibaut also has the profile, I think. He’s very big – nearly two metres tall.”
Despite signing for the Premier League champions back in 2011, Courtois has been immediately sent on loan to Atletico Madrid where he has impressed and returning to Stamford Bridge he has secured a place in the starting lineup.
After three successful years at Atletico Madrid, Chelsea have recalled Thibaut Courtois that has seen Petr Cech to leave Stamford Bridge and sign for their London rivals Arsenal.
Since then, Courtois has kept 35 clean sheets in 95 appearances for Chelsea and established himself as one of the best keepers in the world.
