Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has today confirmed that the Blues forward Bertrand Traore will 2016/17 season on loan at Dutch Ajax after signing a new three-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
Last season 20-year-old striker Traore scored his first goal for Chelsea in the 5-1 FA Cup win at MK Dons.
Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink had handed Traore his first team debut in the Premier League and the 20-year-old forward ended the campaign with four goals despite being mostly used as a substitute.
Chelsea new boss Antonio Conte has backed Burkina Faso international forward to be a success at Stamford Bridge but added that he needs to play every game and loan spell with Dutch giants will help him to become a better player.
“It’s confirmed, He’s a good player, but together with the club we prefer him to have a season to play every game, and then to come back. He’s a good prospect for Chelsea.” Said Conte.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are desperate to lure Euro 2016 winner midfielder Joao Mario at Stamford Bridge to bolster their chance to return old glory and finish on to of the Premier League table.
