ARSENAL will reportedly face a tough battle on their hands to complete the signing of French winger Thomas Lemar in the summer with Barcelona and Liverpool are also expressing strong interest for his signature.
Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev recently revealed that Arsene Wenger tied to lure Frenchman to Emirates Stadium on the deadline day of the transfer window.
The Gunners had a £90million bid accepted for Lemar. However, the deal fell through at the last minute, after Arsenal managed to convince Sanchez to stay at Emirates Stadium.
Both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are set to leave the club for free after the end of the current campaign.
And the Gunners will reportedly try to lure Lemar next summer.
The Mirror reported that both Liverpool and Barcelona are keeping a close eye on Lemar’s situation at Monaco and ready to lure him ahead of Arsenal.
Lemar played a pivotal role in Monaco’s title-winning campaign last year, found the net nine times while providing 11 assists.
Arsenal and Liverpool both are expected to stay without their key player Alexis Sanchez and Philippe Coutinho in the summer and Lemar seems to be an ideal candidate for them to strengthen offensive end.
