Arsenal will reportedly have to fend off interest from the likes of West Ham United and Everton if Unai Emery wants to sign Sevilla defensive midfielder Steven N’Zonzi this summer.
The Gunners are believed to have opened talks with La Liga outfits over a move for the ex-Stoke City midfielder, who played under new Emery during his time at Sevilla.
However, French outlet Le10 Sport reported that they will face competition from EPL rivals West Ham United and Everton for his services.
No official bids have been made for the France international midfielder yet due to his ongoing involvement at the World Cup tournament with France, where he has helped Les Bleus to reach the semi-finals where they will face Belgium national team.
However, N’Zonzi in believed to be open to the idea of returning to Premier League this summer, and the Gunners are hopeful of completing a move for his signature before the transfer deadline on 9’s August.
Meanwhile, N’Zonzi’s international teammate Nabil Fekir has been also rumoured with a switch to Liverpool and Arsenal.
