La Liga leaders Barcelona have binned plans to sell their right-back Aleix Vidal in January amid interest from Arsenal and Inter Milan.
The Spanish defender has moved to the Nou Camp from Sevilla back in the summer of 2015 in a deal believed to worth £15m, however, he has failed to make any impact.
It led to claims that Vidal could be sold during the January transfer window especially with the arrival of Nelson Semedo who has started to impress at Nou Camp.
The Gunners were linked with a move for the 28-year-old defender, as were Italian duo Inter Milan and Juventus.
However, according to Calciomercato, Barcelona have now decided to keep hold of the Spaniard.
Vidal is back in favour under new boss Ernesto Valverde started in the Catalans last two games.
Meanwhile, After leaving German champions Bayern Munich less than a week ago, Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti is planning to become the next Arsenal boss.
The 58-year-old Italian manager will reman a free agent for the rest of the current campaign. However, he would be willing to take over the reigns at Emirates Stadium if Wenger decides to leave the club after the season ends.
