According to the British sources, Arsenal will make a new attempt to sign their long-term target Thomas Lemar from Monaco in the January transfer window.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Arsene Wenger’s side will return with a fresh bid to try and finally lure French forward at Emirates Stadium.
However, the same sources reported that the Gunners new bid for the winger will be some way short of the reported £90m that they have offered to Monaco during the summer transfer window.
Arsenal’s big-money bid for Lemar in the summer would be around £60m as Arsene Wenger sees him as a perfect replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
The report also claims that the Gunners hopes of finally lure Lemar may be boosted with the player himself is believed to be open to leaving Monaco following the French giant’s terrible performance in the Champions League.
Arsene Wenger’s side are bound to be linked with a host of world-class players in the coming weeks as January transfer window set to open next month.
France international forward has found the net for one time and made three assists in 11 Ligue 1 games for Monaco this campaign.
