Arsenal are set to reignite their interest in 21-year-old Serie A ace Jakub Jankto, according to reports from Italy.
Arsene Wenger’s side have been keeping tabs on the progress of the Udinese starlet over the past year, however, are yet to make an official offer for his signature.
It was believed that the Gunners had cooled their interest in the 21-year-old central midfielder, but according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport, the talented Czech is still on Arsene Wenger’s radar.
Reports from Italy suggest that the Czech midfielder has a £6m release clause in his current deal, which would represent good value for the young talent like Jankto.
Arsene Wenger’s side have made an unusually early start in the transfer market after completing the signing of Alexandre Lacazette and Schalke 04 defender Sead Kolasinac.
Lacazette believed to have joined Arsenal for club’s record transfer fee £52m, while Kolasinac arrived at Emirates Stadium at Emirates Stadium for free.
And now Arsene Wenger could be about to make Udinese starlet as his third summer signing.
Jankto last term has played 29 Serie A games in which he has found the net for five times while adding five more assists.
