Arsenal and Chelsea transfer target Faouzi Ghoulam looks to be on his way out of Napoli, according to the latest reports in Italy
The Algerian international is now considered one of the most exciting wing-backs in world football, and the Gunners would surely face a queue of admirers for his services if he came onto the open market.
If Arsene Wenger captured the Napoli star, he would possess two of the planet’s most productive wide players with Spain international Hector Bellerin on the opposite flank.
Reportedly the Blues would have no problem meeting the asking price of £24 million for Ghoulam, but Atletico Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be keen on landing the left-back.
Also, Chelsea star Kurt Zouma admitted he wants Ghoulam to join him at Stamford Bridge.
“Of all the players I have known in Sainté, the one I would like to come to Chelsea to play with me is Faouzi Ghoulam,” the French defender told Eurosport.
“He’s part of the family.”
And now an interested parties received boost to secure the services of Algerian, as the Mediaset (via Le10Sport) says there’s ‘great pessimism’ inside Napoli over the chances of the 26-year-old defender staying.
“We’ll talk about his contract renewal at the right moment,” his agent recently revealed.
“The player is focussed on the end of the season with his club”.
Ghoulam, in the Italian Serie A, has won 20 tackles this season with a success rate of 47%. He has made 25 interceptions, 54 clearances and five blocks.
