Arsene Wenger is keen on to sign Atletico Madrid’s forward Yannick Carrasco to replace wantaway superstar Alexis Sanchez.
The 23-year-old forward has been in stunning form last term scoring 14 goals in all competitions to establish himself as one of the key players for Diego Simeone’s squad.
Carrasco’s pace and scoring ability could be an ideal for the Gunners especially if Alexis Sanchez who has been rumoured with Bayern Munich and Chelsea move decides to leave the club.
The Chilean has one year remaining on his current deal, and the Allianz Arena seems to be his next destination with the Gunners prefer to sell him aborad instead of strengthening their Premier League rivals.
According to the AS reports Wenger is ready to make an approach for 23-year-old Belgian forward who has also been on Man Utd in the recent months.
Arsenal are facing a critical summer in the transfer market as Mesut Ozil, Hector Bellerin and Olivier Giroud have also been linked with an exit from Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners missed out on a top four first time in last 21-years, and their key player Alexis Sanchez who has scored 30 goals in all competition is keen on to leave the club.
Carrasco could be one of the more realistic options in the market this summer, but Diego Simeone could try to tie him down at Vincente Calderon with a new bumper deal.
