According to the Kosta Manola’s agent, Arsenal made a huge offer for Roma defender earlier in the summer, however, the bid from Gunners has been rejected.
Reports earlier this week suggested that Manchester United are ready to offer £47.6million for Greek defender during the January transfer window.
However, it seems Manolas is also on Wenger’s wishlist as Frenchman offered €40m for his signature back in the summer and could renew his interest in the Serie A’s defensive rock.
‘Faith in yourself is an important factor and Kostas has a lot of self-confidence. I can’t say where he wants to play, we’d have to see which clubs were interested,’ Manolas representative, John Evangelopoulos, told Sport.
‘Over the summer a proposal worth circa €40m (£35.m) was turned down from Arsenal for Kostas.
‘Arsenal had already shown interest before, but then Roma’s demands were superior to the intentions of the English club.’
The agent of 25-year-old defender have gave clubs green light to start bidding for his clients services as Greek star is desperate to leave Serie A.
He added: ‘I think in the summer there probably will be something if there is something. In general in the world of football as in life, it is difficult to make predictions”
‘Kostas plays well and Roma are sustaining their objectives in Serie A and Europe. Manolas is at a very good age, he’s experienced and has the characteristics we all know.
‘Kostas has the chance to play at a superior level and therefore I’ll say he won’t go to China. Football in Europe has so much more to offer than money, such as fame and recognition.’
“I am a big fan of the Premier League" - Arsenal Transfer Target Drops Massive Hint Over England Move
Standard Liege stopper Guillaume Hubert revealed Arsenal interest and added that it’s pleasure for him to be linked with a switch to Premier League giants.
Arsenal have been eyeing move for 22-year-old in January as Wenger has identified him as a replacement for Petr Cech in future, The U-23 Belgium international keeper has been humbled with Arsenal links and added that one day he would love to play in Premier League.
“It is a pleasure to learn that Arsenal are interested in me. I did not know about it before,” he admitted.
“A lot of top-class keepers play in England, and they are attracted to go there.
“I am a big fan of the Premier League, and any player would love to appear in it one day.
It seems Arsenal are now frontrunners for in-demand goalkeeper and once again could make a move for his signature.
The 22-year-old keeper has conceded 13 goals and failed to secure a clean sheet thus far in the Belgium league.
During his nine appearances, Standard Liege have only won four BUT they’ve also only lost once. So while he lets in a few goals, he’s keeping out enough and Standard Currently sit in the 8th place of the league table.
Arsenal are believed to have opened talks with PSG winger Lucas Moura, according to the L’Equipe reports.
The Brazilian who has joined PSG for £38million deal from Sao Paulo back in 2012 has been established himself as one of the best attackers in Europe and Arsenal are now desperate to lure him to Emirates Stadium.
Arsene Wenger is desperate to make a marquee signing in the January transfer window to boost Arsenal chances in the Premier League title, the 24-year-old is under contract with PSG until 2019 and French giants could be also keen on to sell him especially after signing Arsenal transfer target, Julian Draxler.
Moura has been in impressive form while PSG faced Gunner at the Champions League competition back in November.
Ligue 1 defending champions PSG are also interested in signing of Arenal superstar Alexis Sanchez who has yet to commit his future with the Premier League giants and being heavily linked with an exit from Emirates in the recent months.
Wenger is confident that his team are capable of luring Prais Saint-Germain forward in London despite a stiff competition for his signature.
