Arsenal reportedly made big money move to sign Malcom from Bordeaux during the January transfer window.
According to the Football London, Arsene Wenger’s side did indeed make a bid to lure the Brazilian forward at Emirates Stadium in January.
The 21-year-old Brazilian forward has been in superb form in Ligue 1 this campaign after bursting onto the scene last season.
As a consequence of this, he has attracted interest from the hosts of European clubs including the North London giants.
Reports suggested that the Gunners lodged a huge offer worth €42 million for the youngster, however, the Ligue 1 outfits have declined their attempts. as they were willing to negotiate only if their asking price of €50m was met.
Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger is known to be an admirer of Brazilian forward and his talents, however, could face competition for the winger’s signature this summer from their bitter Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
Alongside with Malcom another Ligue 1 attacker, Nabil Fekir has been heavily linked with a switch to Emirates Stadium as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez who has left the club earlier in January.
