Arsenal are preparing summer transfer bid to sign Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid, according to Spanish publication AS who is reporting that the Gunners have made the 23-year-old one of their top targets ahead of the transfer window.
The same report adds that Premier League outfit have already approached the La Liga side about the possibility of signing the Spain international. According to the same article, Arsenal have stolen a march on Manchester United, who are also believed to be interested in signing Niguez this summer.
The player contracted until the summer of 2026 and is understood to have a release clause of £130m in his deal. He has been in fine form for RojiBlancos so far this season, netting six goals and adding three assists to his stat sheet in all competitions this term.
The story comes after Arsenal were drowned against Atletico Madrid in the Europa League semi-finals. The two sides will take on each other over two legs as they bid to try and reach the final of Europe’s second-tier club competition.
