Chelsea are ready to hijack Man Utd move for Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland.
Defending Premier League champions have identified Stoke City keeper as a replacement for Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgian goalie has been strongly linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu as they continue their search for a new keeper, while PSG are also keeping tabs on 25-year-old star.
With his future unclear, Antonio Conte’s side are preparing a contingency plan to replace him, according to the Daily Mail.
Butland is also believed as a transfer target for Manchester United with David De Gea is expected to make a switch to the Real Madrid in the nearby future.
But with Courtois struggling to agree on a new deal Chelsea could act quickly to snatch Butland from Manchester United’s nose.
Stoke will not let the 24-year-old leave on the cheap as they are demanding £30million for their star player.
Butland previously turned down Premier League champions back in 2013 when at Birmingham City, opting to join Stoke instead to pursue first-team Premier League football.
However, if Courtois was out of the picture, he believes he can become Blues first-choice keeper.
