Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Red Star Belgrade centre-forward Richmond Boakye, according to the reports from Britain.

Boakye has been in stunning form since the start of 2017/18 campaign, found the net for 10 times in 16 appearances.

And the African centre-forward’s form is believed to have attracted interest from defending Premier League champions Chelsea.

According to the Ghana Soccernet, Antonio Conte is considering a move for 24-year-old African forward during the January transfer window.

Italian head-coach has reportedly ordered his scouts to keep a close eye on Ghana international forward when he faces Arsenal in the Europea League group stage.

Boakye previously worked with Antonio Conte during their time with Serie A champions Juventus, however, he was sent out on loan twice and failed to impress Italian manager.

Ghana Soccernet adds that Red Star are ready to sell 24-year-old forward if Chelsea meet their £10m valuation.

The Former Juventus head-coach is believed to be frustrated with his lack of options at the offensive end after missing out the signing of Fernando Llorente.

Boakye has been one of the best strikers in Europe at the moment as he has scored 30 goals this calendar year.

And after failing to keep his promise as a youngster at Juventus, Boakye is happy to see his career returning back on tracks.

“When I was young like around my 20’s everybody was saying that I have talent,” he told Pulse Ghana Sports earlier this month.

“In football, we have ups and downs. Sometimes it happens, and I sat down and analysed certain things that I realised was wrong with me.

“When I went to Latina, unfortunately, I got a groin problem which took me out for four to 5 months.

“I just put my bad fortunes aside and put things in place with my personal advisor Sharaj Ahmed and we came with a solution.

“This is what is working for me now and I am following that trend.”
