Chelsea head-coach Antonio Conte has revealed that he would “always want” Chile international midfielder Arturo Vidal in his side amid rumours lining Bayern Munich star with a move to Stamford Bridge Stadium.
The 30-year-old midfielder previously has played under Conte at Serie A defending champions, Juventus between 2011 and 2014, where he claimed three Serie A titles.
Speculation has claimed in the recent days suggesting that Italian manager would be keen on to reunion with Chile international midfielder, and the Italian star has refused to play down talk of a possible approach in January.
“I must be honest, it’s not right to talk about a player of another team. Especially if you try to link this player with us,” he told reporters.
“Arturo is a fantastic player…I have a great respect for Arturo, and we spent many years in Juventus together. I’d always want him with me.”
Bayern Munich midfielder has started only 11 Bundesliga games so far this campaign, found the net for five times in the process.
Vidal has been one of the key players for Antonio Conte’s starting XI at Juventus and Italian manager would love to work with him once again.
