Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly’s agent has refused to rule out his client’s exit from Serie A, amid Chelsea transfer links.
Antonio Conte’s side are rumoured to be considering to break their transfer record fee and even made a £58 million bid for 25-year-old defender last summer.
Chelsea boss is believed to be a huge admirer of Koulibaly and wants to bring him to Stamford Bridge as he is desperate to add a quality centre-back to his squad that are currently on top of the Premier League table and eyeing to make a return to Champions League football next season.
The Senegalese international defender is considered as one of the best players in Serie A and the 25-year-old star agent Bruno Satin has hinted that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis and player himself will make decision over his future.
‘The player is very relaxed, I saw him after the game [against Real Madrid],’ said Satin.
‘At the moment, we don’t want to talk about his future but with a president like this who has a lot to say, it is difficult for us to affirm 100 per cent that he will be staying at Napoli next season.
‘[But] he wants to finish the season on a high even if it will be almost impossible to surpass Juventus for the league title.’
The Serie A giants are believed to value their star player around £60m which £10m more than their transfer record fee that the club paid for Fernando Torres.
Meanwhile, Serie A giants are believed to hold on their star player to challenge Juventus for being the no.1 team in Italy.
Defending Serie A champions, Juventus are ten points ahead of third-placed Napoli this term and if Koulibaly leaves them in the summer it will be hard for them next season to build a strong defensive backline.
