Atletico Madrid stopper Jan Oblak has indicated that he is happy to remain at Wandametropolitano after being linked with a switch to Arsenal and Liverpool.

The 25-year-old Slovenian keeper established himself as one of the world’s best stoppers following his superb form for Atletico Madrid.

And as a result, the Oblak has attracted interest from hosts of European clubs including Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool that are both desperate to sign a new stopper ahead of the new season.

But Spanish giants are keen to keep hold of Slovenian keeper and would be unwilling to sell him for a fee lower than his €100 million (£88m) release clause.

And when asked by Spanish media outlet AS if he wanted to stay at Atletico Madrid this summer, Slovenian replied: ‘I have a contract.’

The Slovenian is also buoyed by Atletico’s decision to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco, as well as Antoine Griezmann committing to a new contract.

‘Of course, I like the team we are building,’ he said

Meanwhile, Arsenal have already signed an alternative for Oblak with Bayer Leverkusen star has arrived at Emirates Stadium, while Liverpool still continue the chase for Brazilian keeper Alisson.
