Fernando Llorente has revealed that he held talks with Chelsea manager Antonio Conte over January move to Stamford Bridge.
The Italian was looking to bolster his forward options in the middle of the season following rumours linked Diego Costa with a switch to Chinese Super League.
Swansea City forward who has helped his side to remain in the Premier League, claims that Conte has called him but the Welsh club blocked his transfer to Stamford Bridge.
“Conte has known me since we were at Juventus. Chelsea tried to sign me in winter but Swansea would not let me go. Many things can happen in the summer,” he said.
“I have a year of the contract and I am very happy. It is logical that offers can come, but we will see. I hope things go well, if I stay or I’m going.
On Swansea’s season, he added: “It was a spectacular year. It was a bit tough at first because things did not start well, but the final was spectacular.
“There were times where the club thought they were going down, but I was able to give almost everything I had and I am very happy.”
This term Spaniard forward has made 33 appearances in the Premier League and has found the net for 15 times this term, provided one assist in the process. He has a shot accuracy of 62%.
After Swansea City secured a place in the Premier League Spaniard forward could remain for another season at Liberty Stadium.
